Greenville County Inmate Visitation
Adult inmate visitation is available seven days per week. Adults are allowed two 30-minute visits per week, and visits may be monitored or recorded. Visits may use a video monitor, phone receiver with glass visibility, or vented glass barrier depending on housing. Prohibited or controlled items include cell phones, cameras, purses, bags, tobacco, lighters, flame-producing devices, mace or chemical sprays, firearms, and weapons. Money deposits can be made at lobby kiosks in Building One at 20 McGee Street and Building Two at 4 McGee Street. Debit or credit deposits are limited to one credit-card deposit every 48 hours per inmate, with a $100 maximum per credit-card transaction.

Mailed funds must be U.S. Postal or Western Union money orders only, with no cash, payable to the inmate's full name care of Greenville County Detention Center. Commissary is a privilege. Inmates may buy items twice weekly by phone system, order sheets, or housing-area kiosks, with a $100 maximum per order.

Greenville County Inmates vs SCDC
County jail, state prison, federal custody, sex-offender registration, and criminal-history records are different systems. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office iOS app is listed in the App Store as "Greenville County Sheriff's Office," and no official current Google Play listing for GCSO was located. The Greenville Police Department app is available through official city references on Google Play and the App Store, but the visible listing text did not show jail lookup features. Use the apps as public-safety channels only when their current menus actually show the service needed.
Some jail facts must still be confirmed by phone or in person. The county notes that housing location can change, so a roster result may not be reliable for the current housing unit. Court dates are also not a jail function. If the inmate profile points to a Magistrate, Municipal, General Sessions, or Family Court matter, the court of jurisdiction is the better source for a hearing date, disposition, or certified court record.
